Based on a recent inquiry about links to the Degerstrom International Family page forum, and for those who rarely visit our family genealogy site, the forum launched last year was disconnected.  After months online and perhaps as few as a dozen registered users, very few new post topics were created, and without active users the forum was removed due to lack of interest.

This site design, and the forum, is part time volunteer work to document known persons descended from a Degerstrom ancestor.  Updates to the main site will continue as input is received from family members, yet the forum message board is gone for good.

The work on creating this custom blog in WordPress as an addition to this site continues, and the blog color scheme was just updated. There are many widgets and plug-ins available for WordPress blog formats, and others will be added in the coming weeks.

Family member descendants of the Degerstrom surname are welcome to comment about genealogy related family news and information on the main site and blog.

While the look and color scheme are very similar to the main site, more work is being done on aesthetics to improve the blog section as I contine learning WordPress blogging features.

The Degerstrom International Family website documenting known descendants of persons with the Degerstrom surname has added an integrated blog. The blog will feature news and information about Degerstrom family members from 7 branches in Finland, Norway, Sweden, and the USA.

In addition, future posts will cover subjects including tags for ancestors, degerstrom, descendants, family, genealogy, and history. Degerstrom family members worldwide are invited to visit and comment about the latest news on this blog.

The blog custom design and graphics will be upgraded to match the main site in the near future, so return soon to watch the color scheme transformation.
